Pat
Allison's Grandfather, Van Lee Shaw gave birth to the Ox-Bo
Ranch in the early 1950's on the outskirts of Charlotte, North Carolina. He
was a diehard admirer of the King Ranch and their produce. In his early 60's
he began raising Santa Gertrudis cattle and a horse or two. Cattle and ranching
was his second love...Grandmother was his first. Gramps' health began to fail
in the 1970's and was forced to give up what really kept him going. After his
death, his son-in-law, Jack Carter started the Ox-Bo II in Charlotte, NC and
continued to raise cattle. After Jack's death the Ox-Bo ceased to exist.
In
the early 1990's, my husband Dick Allison and I brought the
Ox-Bo
back to life here in Texas where the King Ranch, that my Grandfather loved,
began. Of course we are not of the magnitude of the King Ranch, but we love
the dream we made a reality and are very happy in our own little corner of the
world.

are breeding for conformation and disposition and offer
outstanding miniatures. Dori & Larry do a superb job of training and "Grandma
Pat" boards & pampers the minis as they complete their training.

intimidated by Miniature Horses as they might by full size horses. Hence the
birth of Ox-Bo Miniatures by Pat, her daughter and son-in-law, Dori and Larry
Eads. Pat, Dori & Larry co-own the stallion Silverleaf Eternal Thunder,
lovingly referred to as "E.T.", one of our herd sires. Along with
Lucky Four Apaches Double Take, "Dubby", AF Royal Gem "Gem"
an own grandson of the legendary Gold Melody Boy, MCC Pixels Warrior (Homozygous
for the pinto gene) and Silverleaf Half A Buck.
